Navara and Patrol owners need to check fuel type first. Petrol engines use spark plugs; diesel engines do not. A diesel Navara or Patrol may need glow plugs for cold starting, but glow plugs are a different part with a different job. Ordering by model only can lead to an expensive mistake.

Turbocharged Nissan engines, including certain performance and imported models, need extra care. Plug heat range and gap can be particularly sensitive in boosted engines.
